The trial of the 7 fugitive suspects, whose files have been separated from the main case about the murder of 37 people in the fire at the Madimak Hotel in Sivas at 2nd July 1993, was held in Ankara 11th High Criminal Court

The hearing on the massacre by fire case, of many artists and intellectuals in the Madimak Hotel Sivas in July 2 1993, is postponed to March 13, 2012.

Turning point had been reached in the case concerning the massacre of many artists and intellectuals, workers of the hotel and a few protesters outside in the fire that spread in the Madimak Hotel at July 2, 1993. Ankara 11th High Criminal Court were expected to finally rule either 'timeout' or either 'crime against humanity'.

The High Criminal Court instead decided for abatement on the grounds of technical problems. The next hearing will be held on March 13 2012.

It is expected for a legal regulation on the conditions of "timeout" to take place until the next hearing, scheduled for March 13 2012.
